Pretty Little Thing

Last week I attended the Pretty Little Thing bloggers lunch at Rosso Manchester with Robyn (RobynMayday) and it was bloody brilliant. I have only been to a few blog events but I was so impressed with this one, the attention to detail was amazing and the venue was just gorgeous.
Pretty Little Thing (the sister company to Boohoo) are the next up and coming online retailer specialising in affordable, on trend fashion. The collection showcased at the event included some amazing pieces that you NEED to keep your eyes open for, I especially loved the acid wash dungarees (featured above). I was also drawn to the varsity inspired clothing which I am loving at the moment and I was pleased to see plenty of pastels and prints in there too!
As well as clothes, they have an amazing collection of accessories and their statement necklaces are to die for, check out the neon necklace in the top picture.

Thanks Pretty Little Thing and Wingfield PR for such a fab time, the food was so yummy and I absolutely love the item I chose (outfit of the day coming soon). I also met some lovely girls on the day and it was so good to chat to other Northern bloggers.
(Pictures stole from Robyn...cheers again dude)

Spring trousers at New Look

There are some amazing printed trousers at New Look this season and these paisley print ones are no exception. Navy blue never gets a look in in my wardrobe but I think it's the perfect colour for spring as it looks gorgeous with pastel colours like coral and mint, these shoes go with the trousers perfectly.
Whenever it starts to get warmer I seem to gravitate towards festival fashion and boho chic for outfit inspiration, this is the second wish list I have done now featuring a kimono and as soon as I get a job I am going to buy one straight away.

Denim, lace and high tops

Dress and necklace- H&M
Shirt- Primark
Shoes-c/o Barratts

As of tomorrow I will be unemployed (violins at the ready) therefore my bank card is resting peacefully in my purse until I have a new job. No spending means no new clothes so some serious wardrobe shopping will have to commence in order for me to continue blogging. I am excited to see what new outfits I can create from what I already have. I have had this lace dress for years, I love mixing girly with casual/tomboy to create feminine yet slightly grungy outfits. The dress is a bum surfer so it has to be worn with tights but its still freezing outside so I can live with that.

Some of you may have also noticed (or maybe not) that I have had some substantial length chopped from my barnet. Before the wedding my Dad pleaded with me to get my hair cut, you know it's serious when a bloke comments on the state of your locks. I am really happy with it and even if I do say so myself, it looks a lot thicker and healthier.

New hair...new job (hopefully!!)

river island wrap dress

Dress- River Island
Shoes and cardigan- Primark

Yesterday was my cousins wedding and after a dramatic week of dress shopping, this is what I wore. Although it was freezing outside, the rain and snow stayed away which meant lots and lots of outdoor photos. The Kate Middleton look alike in the top photo is my very beautiful little sister who I don't like standing next to for too long!!! I love the bottom photo, I have to say I had the coolest boyfriend of the day what with his braces and bow tie!!

Statement jewellery bargains

Just some more statement jewellery to add to my collection. I saw this necklace before Christmas and loved it but for whatever reason didn't buy it, that's until I saw it in h&m sale the other day for £5 , it looks amazing against a white top.
Due to my redundancy I am having to be careful with money at the moment, sale purchases only from now on!!!!

What I would wear to Coachella!!!

Coachella wishlist (fashion)

Definite emphasis on the word 'wishlist'!!! This isn't a collection of items that I would like to buy for coachella but simply a fashion dream of what I would actually wear if I was ever lucky enough to go!!!
I love festivals, not so much slumming it in a tent and using portaloos for days on end but the possibilities they bring in terms of fashion. They are a chance to be braver than usual, wear something out of the ordinary and be as creative as possible. Admittedly this outfit isn't the most out there, no neon paint or majorly clashing prints but this is how what I imagine a true Coachella girl would look, I love the whole boho vibe that comes with such a cool festival. The kimono does all the talking for this outfit, it is such an amazing statement piece and would be great for when it gets cooler in the evenings. I went for a simple cami as unlike the UK, California can be pretty hot, camis are also set to be huge this spring/summer. The Boots are an amazing bargain from Missguided (£24.99) and would look so cool with the denim shorts, imagine not having to don your welly boots for a festival...if only!!!

Have any of you ever been lucky enough to go to Coachella??

Best of the sales #4

a picture of river island, matalan, h&m and barratts
High Tops- (Barratts) I had to include these high top wedge trainers from my previous posts as I love them so much, I have had so many comments about them and they are super comfy.

Necklace- (Matalan) I am so impressed with Matalans jewellery at the moment especially their statement necklaces. This one is so edgy and at £7.50 is definitely affordable.

Bracelets- (h&m) These bracelets are really simple but would add the perfect subtle hint of colour to any plain outfit.

Jacket- (River Island) I love biker jackets and this one from River Island is the most amazing shade for spring. All my jackets are either black or grey so this would be a nice colourful addition to my wardrobe.

Jeans- (River Island) These jeans from River Island really remind me of the ones from Motel, I think they would look amazing with a neon knit and rolled up with flat shoes.
